Sara Varner
A recent addition to the Indiana Federal Community Defenders, Sara joined the office following her graduation from law school in 2010. With a passion for public service and a strong background in writing, Sara focuses her practice on appellate advocacy. Sara handles the appeals originating from our office and carries a caseload of appeals on appointment from the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. In addition to her appellate work, Sara helps out with complex research and writing projects for the office and spearheads the ongoing project to reduce crack cocaine sentences for our jurisdiction.
