CJA Attorneys accept fee cut to bolster Federal Defenders

The New York Law Journal reports on the U.S. Judicial Conference's August 16th announcement for plans to reduce compensation for CJA panel attorneys beginning September 1st. This effort is geared at preventing further layoffs and furloughs in the federal defender officees, which bore the brunt of the $350 million sequester-related cuts to the courts.
